My grandfather from Auburn, Indiana passed away a few weeks ago and one of the paintings that was hanging in his house was by a "Chas Fletcher". It is a long horizontal watercolor of a landscape. Did Fletcher C. Ransom ever paint under this name? I would appreciate any information that you can pass along to me.

I have in my possession works by this artist, which appear to be watercolors, however, I am not an expert. Would be interested in learning more about them.

I was searching for info. on McClure's Magazine, and found your website; sure glad I did! It's nice to know other people out there appreciate those old magazines and their illustrations, in my opinion a lot better than any of the stuff today!

Hi: I was wondering whether or not Fletcher C. Ransom ever painted under the name Chas. Fletcher? I have an original water colour signed by Chas. Fletcher. I look forward to hearing from you. Great Web site.

Thank you for sharing information with us about Fletcher C. Ransom. It is a shame that more is not printed on such an intelligent artist. What little bit I have read on this man, I am truly intrigued.

Hi Kathleen! Thanks to you for establishing this website for those of us that have found the paintings and life of Fletcher most interesting and allows us to further satisfy these interests in his work and life. I came across one of Fletcher's posters(which was actually found in a frame behind another painting) #151 entitled "Yer Out" published by the Gerlach-Barklow Co., Joliet, Ill USA of which poster size is approx. 27" x 20". I believe Fletcher worked for Gerlach-Barlow for 18 years. Would you be able to tell me what year this poster may have been published and any other information that may be of interest pertinent to the poster? (Inspiration behind the poster, I believe I read were he roomed with Cy Young for a period of time. Did this influence him at all in his paintings? etc?) Thanks for your time and interest. It's very much appreciated! Thomas B.Pearson
