This one was owned by James M. Cowan, formerly of Illinois - and the benefactor of the benchmark collection at the Parthenon museum in Nashville, TN. http://www.nashville.gov/parthenon/Cowan-Hist.htm 

 

I purchased it from an heir of Cowan's and will eventually donate it to the museum for addition to their collection. While it's not representative of what I've seen of Ransom's art - it's very much like the style of art Mr. Cowan found most appealing based upon the paintings at that museum.
